How to Add Mods to Your Factorio Server Print

Enhance your Factorio experience with custom mods! Whether you’re adding quality-of-life features or game-changing overhauls, installing mods on your Imperium Hosting Factorio server is quick and easy.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Download the Mod You Want to Use
   Visit the official Factorio mod portal at https://mods.factorio.com/
   Browse or search for a mod, then download the .zip file directly to your PC.

   Do not unzip the file — Factorio loads mods in .zip format.

2. Locate the Downloaded Mod File
   After downloading, you’ll typically find the mod in your Downloads folder. The file name will look something like:

    

   mod-name_1.1.0.zip

3. Upload the Mod to Your Server via FTP

   • Launch your preferred FTP client (like FileZilla)

   • Connect to your server using the FTP login details found in your Imperium Hosting control panel

   • Navigate to your server’s /mods/ directory

   • Upload the .zip mod file into this folder

4. Restart Your Server
   Go back to your control panel and click Start (or Restart) to apply the changes. Your mod will now be active on the server.

Mod Installed!

Once your server is running, players who connect will need to have matching mods installed on their local game or use the in-game mod sync feature to download them automatically.
