  • 0

Want to continue playing on a world you or your community have already started? You can easily upload a custom save file to your Imperium Hosting Factorio server. Just follow the steps below.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log Into Your Control Panel
Use the login credentials from your Imperium Hosting welcome email to access your server’s control panel.

  2. Stop Your Server
Before making any file changes, stop your server to prevent corruption or file conflicts.

  3. Locate Your Save File
On your PC, find the .zip save file you want to upload. Factorio saves are typically found in:

    C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Factorio\saves
  4. Upload the Save File via FTP

    • Open your preferred FTP client (such as FileZilla)

    • Connect using the FTP credentials provided in your Imperium Hosting control panel

    • Navigate to your server’s /saves/ folder

    • Upload your .zip save file here

  5. Rename the Save File to default.zip

    • If a file named default.zip already exists, delete or rename it first

    • Rename your uploaded file to default.zip – this tells the server which world to load by default

  6. Start Your Server
Return to your control panel and click Start to launch your server with the newly imported save.

You're now running your custom save!

Players who join your server will load into the world you uploaded.
