How to Upload an Existing Save to Your Project Zomboid Server Print

  • 0

Want to pick up where you left off in single-player or migrate your old multiplayer world? Here's how to upload an existing save to your Imperium Hosting Project Zomboid server.

Step 1: Locate Your Save Files

On your PC, navigate to the following path:

C:\Users\<YourUsername>\Zomboid\Saves\Multiplayer\

Inside, you should find two important folders:

  • servertest

  • servertest_player

Step 2: Zip Your Save Files

  1. Select both the servertest and servertest_player folders.

  2. Right-click and compress them into a .zip file (e.g., PZSave.zip).

Step 3: Upload the Save to Your Server

  1. Stop your server from the control panel to avoid conflicts.

  2. Open the File Manager from your server's control panel.

  3. Navigate to:

    ./Zomboid/Saves/Multiplayer/
  4. If a servertest folder already exists, delete it to prevent overwrite issues.

  5. Upload your .zip file here.

Step 4: Extract the Save File

  1. After uploading, right-click the .zip file in File Manager.

  2. Select “Extract”.

  3. Wait for extraction to finish — this may take a few minutes depending on the save size.

You're Done!

Start your server again, and your previously saved world should now load automatically.
