How to Change the Map on Your Conan Exiles Server Print

  • 0

For all Conan Exiles servers hosted by Imperium Hosting

If you’re running a modded or alternate map for Conan Exiles, you can set the map by manually entering its name in the command line. Follow the steps below to configure this using the Imperium Hosting Game Control Panel.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Log into the Game Control Panel

Go to:

2. Stop Your Server

Always stop your server before making any configuration changes. This prevents save file issues or failed startups.

3. Open the Commandline Manager

  • In the left-hand menu, click Commandline Manager.

4. Create a New Custom Commandline

  • Switch to the Custom Commandlines tab.

  • Click the + New button.

  • Give your commandline a name, like: Custom Map - Savage Wilds.

5. Configure the Map Name

  • Check the box next to Map Name.

  • A text input box labeled Enter Map Name will appear.

  • Manually type in the internal name of the map you wish to load. Examples:

    • ExiledLands (Default map)

    • IsleOfSiptah

    • Savage_Wilds

    • CustomMapFolderName (if using a modded map from Steam Workshop)

Important: The name must match the internal folder or .pak map name used by the server. For custom maps, consult the map’s workshop page or documentation.

6. Save and Apply the Commandline

  • Click Save.

  • Back on the Commandline Manager main screen, select the commandline you just created to make it active.

7. Start Your Server

Once your new map is selected, go back to the main panel and start the server.

Troubleshooting

  • If the server fails to boot, double-check the spelling of the map name.

  • For modded maps, ensure the required mod files are installed in the correct directory and referenced in the modlist.txt.
