Some Avorion server owners may notice that their server settings are not saving correctly, even after editing the configuration files and restarting the server. For example, you may set options from false to true, only to find them reset after a restart or after traveling to a new galaxy.
This is a known bug that has been present since 2021, and the developers are aware of it. The issue occurs when your server is running on Scenario 1.
Solution: Switch to Scenario 3
To ensure your Avorion server settings save correctly, you’ll need to change the server’s scenario to Scenario 3.
Steps to Fix:

Stop your Avorion server from the control panel.

Open your server’s configuration file (usually
server.ini). -
Find the line that defines the scenario (e.g.,
Scenario=1). -
Change the value to:
Scenario=3 -
Save the file.

Restart your Avorion server.
Result:
Your server settings will now save properly and persist through restarts, reloads, or traveling to different galaxies.
