Need to run your Rust server without Easy Anti-Cheat for testing, modding, or private play? You can disable EAC via the server configuration with Imperium Hosting. Please note: servers with EAC disabled will not appear in the official Rust in-game server browser.
Steps to Disable EAC:
1. Stop Your Rust Server
From your Imperium Hosting Control Panel, stop the server before making any changes.
2. Open Configuration Files
Click "Configuration Files" from the left-hand menu.
3. Edit server.cfg
Next to server.cfg, click “Text Editor” to manually adjust server settings.
4. Add or Modify the Following Lines:
Ensure the following values are set:
If any of these entries already exist, just update the values to
"0".
5. Save and Exit
Click “Save”, then return to the main control panel.
6. Start Your Server
Click “Start” to boot your server with EAC disabled.
Important Notes:

Disabling EAC is only recommended for private, modded, or local servers.

Players may need to use the "Direct Connect" option or Steam Server Browser to join your server.
