Need to personalize your Rust server? You can easily change the hostname that appears in the in-game server list. Follow the steps below using your Imperium Hosting control panel.


Steps to Change Your Server's Hostname:

1. Log into the Imperium Hosting Control Panel

Visit your Game Control Panel and access your Rust game service.

2. Open the Configuration Files

Click the “Configuration Files” button located in your server management panel.

3. Edit the server.cfg File

Next to server.cfg, click on the “Config Editor” to launch the visual editor.

4. Find the Hostname Field

Scroll down to the Hostname section.

Example:

hostname "My Custom Rust Server - Hosted by Imperium"

5. Enter Your Custom Server Name

Replace the current value with the name you want your server to display in the Rust server browser.

6. Save and Restart

Click Save, then restart your server for the change to take effect.

Your server name can include formatting symbols and emojis to make it stand out, like:
