How to Add Yourself as an Admin on Your 7 Days to Die Server Print

  • 0

If you're experiencing issues with the serveradmin.xml file not granting admin privileges, you can use the Web Console to grant admin access in real-time. This method is quick, effective, and doesn't require restarting your server.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Access the Web Console

  1. Log into your Imperium Hosting control panel.

  2. Click on your 7 Days to Die game service.

  3. Open the Web Console from the left-hand menu.

Step 2: Authenticate Using RCON

  • When prompted, enter your Telnet (RCON) password.

    • This password is set in your main server settings under the field: TelnetPassword.

  • If you haven't configured it yet, you can set or check it in your serverconfig.xml file.

Security Tip: You can remove or change the Telnet password after you're done using the console if you don't plan to keep RCON access enabled.

Step 3: Add Yourself as an Admin

In the Web Console, run the following command:

admin add <your_steamid_or_eosid> 0

Replace <your_steamid_or_eosid> with your actual SteamID or Epic Online Services ID.

  • The 0 sets your permission level to full admin access.

  • You can find your SteamID here or by checking your profile URL.

Example:

admin add steam_76561198000000000 0

Confirmation

After entering the command:

  • You should immediately have admin privileges in-game.

  • Use /admin or /help in chat to verify your access.
