Setting up and configuring your Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord server with Imperium Hosting is quick and flexible. This guide walks you through selecting a game mode, editing server settings, and customizing your gameplay experience.


Stage 1 – Selecting a Game Mode

  1. Log into Your Imperium Hosting Control Panel
    Head to your Imperium Hosting Control Panel and open your Bannerlord server.

  2. Open the Commandline Manager

    • Click “Commandline Manager” from your server dashboard

    • Click “Select” next to the Default command line

    • Choose your desired game mode from the dropdown (e.g. Siege, Skirmish, Duel, etc.)

    • Click Apply to save changes


Stage 2 – Configuring the Server Settings

  1. Stop Your Server
    Always stop your server before making configuration file edits.

  2. Open Configuration Files

    • Click “Configuration Files” in the left-hand menu

    • Locate the configuration file for your selected game mode (e.g., Siege.txt, Skirmish.txt, Duel.txt)

    • Click “Config Editor” next to it

  3. Edit Your Server Settings
    Use the fields to update the values that best fit your server preferences.

ServerName Name of your server (e.g., ImperiumHosting Siege Server)
WelcomeMessage Custom message players see when joining
GamePassword Password required to join your server
AdminPassword Password used to gain admin access in-game
GameType Game mode type (e.g., Siege, Skirmish, Duel)

CultureTeam1 / CultureTeam2 Factions (e.g., empire, vlandia, sturgia, battania, khuzait, aserai)
MaxNumberOfPlayers Maximum player count
NumberOfBotsTeam1/2 Number of bots per team
FriendlyFireDamageMeleeSelfPercent Set to 0 to disable self-damage from melee
RoundTimeLimit / MapTimeLimit Control match pacing
EnableAntiCheat Enable or disable anti-cheat enforcement
MinScoreToWinMatch Set win condition based on score

  1. Save the File
    After editing the file, click Save.

  2. Start Your Server
    Return to your dashboard and click Start. Your server will launch with the new configuration.
