How to Join Your Foundry Server (Public or Private) Print

Whether your Foundry server is public or private, there are two main ways to join: through the Steam Server Browser (for public servers) or via IP Direct Connect (for private servers). Follow the appropriate method below.

Joining a Public Foundry Server via Steam Server Browser

If your server is configured as public, you can add it to your Steam favorites and join it easily:

1. Open Steam
   Launch the Steam client on your PC.

2. Open the Steam Server Browser

   • Click “View” in the top-left menu

   • Select “Game Servers” from the dropdown

3. Add Your Server to Favorites

   • Navigate to the “Favorites” tab

   • Click the “+” button

4. Enter the Query Info

   • In the field labeled “Domain name or IP and optional port”, paste your server’s Query Info

   • You can find this information on the home page of your server in the control panel

5. Click “OK”
   Your server is now saved under your Steam favorites.

6. Connect to the Server
   You can now join your server in one of two ways:

   • From Steam: Right-click the server in the Steam Server Browser → click “Connect to server”

   • From Foundry: Launch the game → go to Multiplayer → open the Favourites tab → select your server and join

Joining a Private Foundry Server via IP Direct Connect

If your server is set to private, it won't appear in public lists. Instead, use the IP Direct Connect method:

1. Locate Your Connection Info

   • In your Imperium Hosting control panel, go to your server's home page

   • Copy the Connection Info shown there (format: 123.45.67.89:27015)

2. Launch Foundry
   Open the game on your PC.

3. Connect via Direct IP

   • Click “Multiplayer” from the main menu

   • Choose “IP Direct Connect”

4. Enter Server Details

   • IP Address: Enter the number before the colon (e.g., 123.45.67.89)

   • Port: Enter the number after the colon (e.g., 27015)

   • If your server is password-protected, enter the password in the corresponding field

5. Click “Connect”
   You’ll now join your private Foundry server directly.
