How to Add Admins to Your SCUM Dedicated Server

Powered by Imperium Hosting

In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through how to grant in-game admin access on your SCUM dedicated server by adding Steam64 IDs to the proper configuration files.

Step 1: Locate the Steam64 ID

To give a player admin access, you’ll first need their Steam64 ID. You can find it by:

  • Searching their profile on SteamID.io

  • Or, by locating their entry in your server’s login.log file (found in the Saved/Logs directory) after they’ve joined the server at least once.

Step 2: Add Admin Permissions in AdminUsers.ini

  1. Log in to your Imperium Hosting control panel.

  2. Navigate to Game Services under the Service Management section.

  3. Select your SCUM server and stop it if it’s currently running.

  4. Click on Configuration Files.

  5. Open AdminUsers.ini using the Text Editor.

Add each admin’s Steam64 ID on a new line, with optional permissions. Example formats:

76561198012345678 # Basic admin access
76561198012345678[SetGodMode] # Admin access + God Mode
76561198012345678[RestartServer] # Admin + Server Restart
76561198012345678[SetGodMode,RestartServer] # Full access

God Mode: Allows admins to build instantly without materials.

Step 3: Add to ServerSettingsAdminUsers.ini

To unlock the in-game Admin Menu, you must also add each admin’s Steam64 ID to ServerSettingsAdminUsers.ini.

Important: Add only the Steam64 ID — one per line. Do not include any extra symbols, commas, or permissions here.

Example:

76561198012345678
76561198087654321

Final Steps

  • Click Save & Exit after editing both files.

  • Restart your SCUM server.

  • Once in-game, press Escape — you should now see the Server Settings admin menu appear.

Congratulations!
You’ve successfully added admin users to your SCUM server hosted by Imperium Hosting. Now go lead your community like a commander on the battlefield!
