How to Edit Your Icarus Server Settings Print

Editing your Icarus server settings through the Imperium Hosting control panel is quick and simple. You can change your server name, set a password, and configure other options directly within the configuration files.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Log in to your Imperium Hosting Game Panel
    Access your control panel here: https://tcadmin.imperiumhosting.com:8881/Login

  2. Select Your Icarus Server
    From the Game Services list, click on your Icarus service to open the server dashboard.

  3. Stop Your Server
    Always stop the server before making configuration changes to avoid issues.

  4. Go to the Configuration Files Tab
    On the left-hand side menu or dashboard, click "Configuration Files".

  5. Open ServerSettings.ini via Text Editor
    Locate ServerSettings.ini in the list and click the "Text Editor" option next to it.

  6. Edit Your Settings
    You can now configure the following options (and more) in this file:

    • ServerName=YourCustomServerName

    • ServerPassword=YourSecurePassword

    • MaxPlayers=16 (adjust as desired)

    • PublicServer=true or false (depending on whether you want your server listed)

  7. Save the File
    After editing, click Save at the bottom of the text editor.

  8. Start Your Server
    Head back to the main dashboard and click Start to boot up your server with the new settings.
