How to Use Custom Configuration Settings on Your V Rising Server (Imperium Hosting) Print

Want to customize your V Rising server beyond the default settings? This guide will walk you through enabling and editing your own custom configuration using custom.json.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Log into your Imperium Hosting Control Panel
   Navigate to https://gamepanel.imperiumhosting.com and access your V Rising service.

2. Stop Your Server
   Before making changes, be sure to stop the server to avoid data conflicts.

3. Create Your Custom Preset

   • Go to the Configuration Files section.

   • Locate and open the ServerHostSettings.json using the Text Editor.

   • Find the line for:

      

     "GameSettingsPreset": "Standard"

     and replace it with:

      

     "GameSettingsPreset": "custom"

   • Click Save and Close.

4. Edit Your Custom Configuration

   • Still in the Configuration Files area, locate ServerGameSettings.json.

   • This file now maps to the custom.json configuration preset.

   • Open it using the Text Editor and make any desired changes to settings such as:

     • PvP rules

     • Castle limits

     • Raid times

     • Day/night cycles

     • Resource multipliers

5. Save and Restart Your Server
   Once you've made your desired changes, save the file and start your server. Your custom settings will now be active!

Notes:

• If the custom.json file does not exist, simply create it using the Text Editor in ServerGameSettings.json — the system will reference this when GameSettingsPreset is set to custom.
