Want your Unturned server to stand out in the server list? This guide will walk you through how to add a custom server icon and thumbnail using Imgur.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Access Your Server

1. Log in to your Imperium Hosting Game Panel.

2. Navigate to your Unturned service.

3. Stop your server.

Step 2: Edit Your Configuration

1. Go to Configuration Files.

2. Open the Config.json using the Text Editor.

3. Locate the lines:

    

   "Icon": "", "Thumbnail": ""

Step 3: Upload Your Image to Imgur

1. Visit https://imgur.com/upload.

2. Drag and drop your server icon or thumbnail into the upload window.

3. Once uploaded, hover over the image and click the copy button to get the URL.

4. Modify the URL as follows:

   • Add .png, .jpg, or correct file extension at the end.

   • Replace imgur.com with i.imgur.com.

   Example:
   From → https://imgur.com/yZbb9Z5
   To → https://i.imgur.com/yZbb9Z5.png

Step 4: Apply It to Your Server Config

1. In your Config.json, paste the final direct URL into the respective fields:

    

   "Icon": "https://i.imgur.com/yZbb9Z5.png", "Thumbnail": "https://i.imgur.com/aBcDeFg.jpg"

2. Click Save in the text editor.

Step 5: Restart Your Server

• Head back to your server dashboard and click Start to launch your server with your new custom branding!

Notes

• Icons/Thumbnails should ideally be square and under 512KB.

• Imgur is a free and fast way to host your image, but any direct-link image host will work.

• Make sure your image link ends in the correct file extension!
