How to Change Your Sons of the Forest Server Name Print

Customize your server’s identity in just a few steps

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Log in to the Imperium Hosting Control Panel
   Visit https://panel.imperiumhosting.com and access your Sons of the Forest server.

2. Stop the Server
   Before making changes, click "Stop" to ensure your server is not running.

3. Navigate to Configuration Files
   From the server dashboard, click on “Configuration Files”.

4. Open the dedicatedserver.cfg File
   You can either use the Config Editor or the Text Editor — whichever you prefer.

5. Edit the Server Name
   Look for the line:

    

   ServerName=YourCurrentServerName

   Replace YourCurrentServerName with your desired name.

6. Save Changes
   Click Save and then exit the editor.

7. Start the Server
   Return to the main panel and click "Start" to launch your server with the new name.

That’s it! Your Sons of the Forest server will now display its updated name in the server browser.
